The new Alpha 200i has landed and in this video we are going to take a look at all the key features and how they work.
In Summary, the Alpha 200i is the latest garmin handheld tracking device, it works with the standard TT15s and T5 collars as well as the TT15 minis and T5 Minis, not to mention the old Alpha 100, GarminDrive track and Garmin watches. You can even pair the 200 with your phone or tablet using the Garmin Explore app so you can use your phone as a handset. The Alpha 200 uses the same batteries as the Alpha 100 and fits all the same mounts, map cards and even the same antennas. Birdseye imagery is completely free on this handset which is awesome and you can download the maps on the 200 over Wifi, so no need to have access to a computer. You can do it all on the handset itself. The 200 also has a much bigger screen and a brand new user interface that is easy to use, and lastly it supports inreach which allows two-way global text messaging and emergency SOS button among other things, but this feature does require a subscription which is quite expensive.
So stay tuned as we unbox the bad boy and show you all the features and how they work.
